Past President
Neil L Eddins, Jr
Assistant Chief Juvenile Probation Officer
Randal County Detention and Residential Services
Neil began his career with troubled juveniles in August 1984 at the Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Facility. Although he is an “Okie” by heart, he soon moved to Texas where he made his home in Amarillo in the Fall of 1986 and began working for Potter County Juvenile Probation. In November 1989 he began working for Randall County Juvenile Probation and was quickly promoted to Assistant Chief Juvenile Probation Officer over Detention and Residential Services in June of 1995. He supervises approximately 90 personnel of the Youth Center of the High Plains which is a 62 bed pre and post adjudication facility. The programs of these facilities have helped raise the bar for positive therapeutic programs in juvenile justice facilities, and have been successfully replicated in other facilities throughout the country. Neil is married to his beautiful bride, Amber, and he has three children, one of which is serving our country overseas. He is also the proud “Poppie” of one granddaughter. Neil has been involved in many activities in our community including serving as the Community Lay Director of the Golden Spread Emmaus Walk, is active in his church and holds American and World Records in Competitive Power Lifting.
